Job description

McCarthy Engine Reconditioning is looking for a Service Advisor to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic candidate with excellent attention to detail who is committed to training and career development.

Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for the business by managing the reception area, greeting cus-tomers and receiving supplier deliveries
- Deal with customer requirements on job cards, invoices and other documents, ensuring these details are recorded accurately
- Processing payments physically or over the phone and ensuring all documentation is processed daily
- Pricing jobs by liaising with suppliers communicating prices to customers
- To follow up and provide feedback to customers on the status of their job
- Communicating and receiving approval from customers regarding changes to cost estimates or promised delivery times for their jobs
- Ensuring all work requested has been carried out and charged for
- Liasing with the workshop to check on progress of jobs

Candidate Requirements:
- Excellent customer service skills - communicating effectively with customers and ensuring their understanding of services available
- Computer literacy - to be able to record and amend details of customers and jobs accurately
- Ability to work under pressure and deal with demanding customers and to manage the liaison between customers and the workshop
- An ability to absorb and understand technical data so as to develop a good knowledge of the business
- Proficiency in parts inventory management, including stock control and replenishment
- Excellent organizational skills and accuracy when recording details
