Overview of the role:
Listowel CFRC is seeking and experienced Centre Cook to work in the busy Children's Centre childcare setting. Successful candidates will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals for the children attending the setting while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

Roles and responsibilities:
- Preparing and cooking appropriate, nutritious meals for large cohort of children attending the centre
- Development of rotating menus following the above criteria
- Maintaining high standard of hygiene and kitchen management
- Up keep of and replenishment of food supplies and deliveries
- Contacting and working with food suppliers

Applicants must meet the following:
- A minimum level 1 HACCP qualification
- Previous working experience as a cook (desirably in a similar setting)
- An interest in working in a community-based setting
- Knowledge and skills in maintaining a high standard of personal and kitchen hygiene

Terms and Conditions:

Location:
Listowel Community and Family Resource Centre, Ballygologue, John B Keane Road, Listowel, Co. Kerry, V31 EC62

Contract:
- 1 year fixed term

Probation:
- 6 month

Hours:
- 20 per week (Flexibility and some evening / weekend work may be required)
